The Euro Truck Simulator 2: Mercedes-Benz Ultimate Mod is a mod for the Euro Truck Simulator 2 game and its extension Going East. The mod gives you more options for your Mercedes trucks. There have been a number of small errors and/or bugs that have been fixed, and there are plenty of new features that you can enjoy.
What Can I Expect From The Mod?
If you have not played the game before, then you are not going to notice the mod. If you are looking specifically for the changes, then here is a list of the things you can keep an eye out for.
- Many Engine Options
- New Interiors
- New v8 lights
- New Computer
- Small Mirrors
- Ai for Axor
- New Audio plugin & Arrangements
- New Rims
- Powerful Headlamps
- 3 Cabin Option
- Transmission Options
- Mercedes Interior Camera
- Mercedes Real Logo Mode
- Chassis Options
- Cabinet Skinning.
The developer of the mod also claims a number of errors have been fixed, though the release notes make it confusing because the bugs and errors require cross checking (i.e. there is not a big catalog with full explanations that a layperson may understand).
Installing The Mercedes-Benz Ultimate Mod
The most commonly used method is to copy the .SCS file from the archive into the "My Documents\Euro Truck Simulator 2mod" folder on your hard drive. You may have to Google the answer for your particular version of your game. Finding the mod file on your computer means you can copy the file over to it and then run the game to see if it works. Basically, copy the mod files from the downloaded archive into a folder with the path Documents \ Euro Truck Simulator 2 \ mod \
Does It Cause Bugs?
Correctly installed, it shouldn’t cause any bugs. After vigorous testing from simulation nerds, there are no visible bugs, and one of the previous bugs even appears to have disappeared. That bug is when you park up your truck in certain spots and try to zoom in, it lets you zoom in to and see through modelling cracks. The mod seems fairly stable, and as of yet there is no indication that it holds anything nasty such as malware, but that really depends upon which mod you download and who has been tampering with it.

- It doesn’t appear to cause bugs or errors
